Maintenance contracts are sold on peace of mind and delivered as an annual visit. What matters is what happens on the day something fails, and most contracts are vague about exactly that.
We contract on stated response times, defined scope of included work, and measured availability. What is excluded is listed as plainly as what is included. Where a system is simple enough that a contract is not warranted, we say so and train your own people instead, which is a smaller sale and a better recommendation.
