Material testing is commissioned for two reasons: to confirm incoming material is what was ordered, and to establish why something broke. The second is where the expertise shows.
We provide composition analysis, mechanical testing, metallography and hardness surveys, with interpretation against the applicable specification. Failure analysis examines the fracture surface and microstructure to identify the mechanism — fatigue, overload, corrosion, hydrogen embrittlement — because knowing a part broke is useless and knowing why it broke prevents the next one.
Two plants running the same process need different instrumentation, so we survey before we specify and specify before we price. Tell us about the facility and we will come back with a scope stating what is supplied and where our responsibility ends.
