Register Free →Specifications written to be tendered, including for equipment we will not supply.
Most monitoring projects fail in the specification rather than the installation: the wrong measurement, at the wrong point, to an accuracy nobody defined, from a vendor selected on price against an ambiguous document.
We write specifications that can be tendered — measurement, location, accuracy, interface, acceptance criteria — including for equipment we have no intention of supplying. A specification written by the eventual supplier is a procurement problem, and a client who understands that is usually the one who asks for this service.
Two plants running the same process need different instrumentation, so we survey before we specify and specify before we price. Tell us about the facility and we will come back with a scope stating what is supplied and where our responsibility ends.
